So many to choose from.
I fancy an Epiphone ... actually I fancy a Gibson, but they cost thousands whilst Epiphones cost hundreds.
Looking is half the fun.

We arrived back at the shut-up boat at about 7pm ... 32 degrees inside ! Everything opened up and it's now dropped to 26 degrees as it gets dark. Certainly not a fire evening here. Rog Bit of a longshot, dogless but as you (and I) are some of the few actually traversing Middle England and I understand you went through the same a few weeks ago BUT have many friends who also move about - is there anyone who has any idea about the state of the waterpoint at Great Haywood? I have phoned CRT twice now since the stoppage notice (9th August) for information and after several minutes of selecting the correct numbers (do people really enjoy Bingo?!) all I'm told is "I only know what you do"!?!? Hope you've had a cooler day today - another hot one here... ...cue a brilliant Santana track if only I had the wherewithal ......!

Can't help you really BUT I saw mention yesterday on Jane's Facebook that it is still broken but Anglowelsh will let you use their hose for Β£3.00 (I know ... but they're on a water metre and have to pay their bills π)
That's what we did as we came through ... didn't want to rush through Rugeley (launderette etc.) or divert up to Stone either.
Not good is it.

Whilst on the subject of C&RT and poor communications, sometime ago I happened to notice something on Jane's Facebook boater groups to the effect that the refuse bins at Sutton Cheney Wharf had been moved to the Lime Kilns pub car park.
Sure enough the skips are in a compound in the pub car park, with a new blue sign about fifteen feet away (still in the car park) to say they're there.
No signage on the towpath or by the water point.
Today I chatted to a lovely lady off one of the C&RT permanent moorings at Sutton Cheney, asking why the bins had been moved.
No real explanation had been given and the moorers, and the cafe, had tried to fight the decision but to no avail.
The moorers now have to drive to Lime Kilns pub car park, or the canal terminus as these are the only bins on the canal.
On our cruise to Sutton Cheney I'd noticed bin bags in the hedge bottom in several spots.
Dumping rubbish like that is inexcusable, but I fear it will become a more frequent sight under C&RT's current unsympathetic and blinkered management.

Rog I really think we all have to start making noise about the removal of facilities. Is that people who pay for crt mooorings your talking about in this post? If itβs people who pay crt to moor then Iβm pretty sure crt have a duty to provide them with bins.

The lady mentioned that during their attempts to fight the decision, they argued that the Sutton Cheney Wharf services including bins, were mentioned in their mooring contracts, but to no avail.
Apparently they made approaches to the Ombudsman too, without success.
I feel sure C&RT will say bins ARE provided ... at Lime Kilns.
Rog
ETA as an aside, I'd been looking at C&RT moorings vacancies, and seen a couple available at Sutton Cheney at over Β£2,300. Apparently bidding on one's over Β£2,800 now

The thing is Andy there is such thing as legal precedent, the fact that they have supplied them for so long would go along way in a properly organized legal challenge.

CRT shut the bin shed at Burscough Wharf last year, stating there is a skip about a mile further on towards Wigan at Millennium Green. You cannot see the skip from the canal and you would have no clue it is there if you were unfamiliar with the area.

Apparently there have been bins at this location for over 40 years ... and that argument was put forward too.
Buttered no parsnips as they say.

So we need to get together some sort of legal challenge. Itβs no good just talking to them. Or we just all give up and except crt piecemeal destroying the waterways.
