That's one of the issues, they build up such high costs there's no chance there will very be any surplus. The C&RT/Commercial Boat Services[CBS] boat thieving scam has to operate that way, . . because the purpose behind the scheme is purely to enable Brian Clarke, the crook who owns and runs Commercial Boat Services, to send unnecessary and grossly inflated invoices to C&RT, . . the huge profits from which can then be shared with the crooked managers and bent Solicitors at C&RT who arrange and ensure that all the Section 8 boat stealing work comes Brian Clarke/CBS's way.

Yes, after costs have been deducted, any surplus would be returned to the previous owner although in practice this rarely if ever happens as the overwhelming majority of boats removed under Section 8 are worth little more than scrap value. Interesting to see the old L&L Boats approaching scrap value. I wouldn't touch them with a largepole. Too dodgy. Ageing is a terrible phenomenon. The reality, . . as I said yesterday, . . is that neither Wyre nor Mersey are currently advertised for sale by Commercial Boat Services [CBS], and they are telling enquirers that both have been sold.
If CBS are telling the truth, and both boats have been sold, then Commercial Boat Services/C&RT have sold something that wasn't legally theirs to sell, and are therefore in big trouble. Alternatively, and far more likely, is that CBS are lying about the boats having been sold, and C&RT have instructed them to take both boats off the market because of the increasingly widespread publicity and recognition of the fact that having been unlawfully seized from their rightful owners, neither vessel is, or ever was, CBS's or C&RT's to sell in the first place.

As opposed to yourself, who is obviously the smelliest turd in the pan Can runny festering diahorrea qualify as a turd? Mmmm 🤔 the dictionary definition does use the word solid, so it is debatable.

The sad old twats on here are never going to grasp it Tony. They are not for sale, he posted photos of a page that they where being sold on. It isn’t live anymore. That post above [< thunderboat.boards.net/post/394473/thread >] isn't directed at or for the benefit of the Thunderboat idiots club. I'm hoping to prompt a reaction from Commercial Boat Services, and/or C&RT's bent lawyers. They may now take down the advert, or they could continue advertising, a boat called March Hare, . . one of two boats that were stolen from a man named George Ward last year, at Bradford-on-Avon, . . under the usual pretence of being lawful Section 8 boat 'removals'.
C&RT/Commercial Boat Services have either sold those two L&L Shortboats, Wyre and Mersey, . . the two boats that mindless turd Andyberg was posting about yesterday and the day before, . . knowing full well that neither boat was ever legally theirs to sell, . . or they were lying yesterday when they said that both boats had been sold. Either way, they're in a hole, . . and they're digging themselves in deeper.
The theft of George Ward's two boats was accomplished by way of the usual C&RT procedure of issuing a Section 8 Notice against the target boat(s), following up with obtaining a Court Order by lying to and wilfully deceiving the Court, which in turn is then followed up by lying to the Police about the power, effect, and authority of what is in truth, . . except for the Part of it that's actually a straightforward Injunction not to use or navigate the named vessel on a C&RT controlled inland waterway, . . an otherwise worthless and unenforceable Court Order.

Yes, but you know Tony won't ever admit he's wrong, despite having had a lot of practice at it.
