I've had a look in the courts for CRT or CBS. There is no case for theft.
I'll wager a pint that one won't ever appear.

Basically the CRT as the navigation authority are allowed to remove non compliant craft.
If the owner does not come forward after a certain amount of time with suitable proof of their ownership of the chattels then the navigation authority is allowed to dispose of the vessel and items therein by sale or otherwise.
A lot of people probably get all het up about it being a Boat but in reality once it is out of the water it is just a random arrangement of mixed scrap and landfill.
The reason a navigation authority would be given this power is incredibly obvious to anyone with even a modicum of common sense or wit.
It really isn't rocket science.
There are no rockets being scienced here.

The sad old twats on here are never going to grasp it Tony. They are not for sale, he posted photos of a page that they where being sold on. It isn’t live anymore. That post above < thunderboat.boards.net/post/394473/thread > isn't directed at or for the benefit of the Thunderboat idiots club. I'm hoping to prompt a reaction from Commercial Boat Services, and/or C&RT's bent lawyers. They may now take down the advert, or they could continue advertising, a boat called March Hare, . . one of two boats that were stolen from a man named George Ward last year, at Bradford-on-Avon, . . under the usual pretence of being lawful Section 8 boat 'removals'.
C&RT/Commercial Boat Services have either sold the boats that CBS had in their 'For Sale' lists as Wyre and Mersey (the two L&L Shortboats that C&RT unlawfully seized from the owners last year, and that mindless turd Andyberg was posting confused nonsense about on 8 April 2024) despite knowing full well that neither boat was ever legally theirs to sell, . . or they were lying yesterday when they said that both boats had been sold. Either way, they're in a hole, . . and they're digging themselves in deeper.
The theft of George Ward's two boats was accomplished by way of the usual C&RT procedure of issuing a Section 8 Notice against the target boat(s), following up with obtaining a Court Order by lying to and wilfully deceiving the Court, which in turn is then followed up by lying to the Police about the power, effect, and authority of what is in truth (except for the Part of it that's actually a straightforward Injunction forbidding the use or navigation of the named vessel on a C&RT controlled inland waterway) an otherwise worthless and unenforceable Court Order.

In fairness, the overwhelming majority of posters do have sufficient common sense and wit to understand it. So, . . there's an "overwhelming majority" somewhere within the membership of this forum, . . is there ? Based on the number of active/posting members of this forum, this 'overwhelming majority' has to be drawn from the small clique of around a dozen or so of the regular Thunderboat posters who have hi-jacked and ruined this once lively, informative, and much liked forum. With every post they make, most of this dozen or so active members show themselves to be nothing more than mindless idiots. They collectively give the appearance of possessing IQ scores that, between the whole lot of them added together, may almost reach into double figures. As overwhelming majorities go, that's really very impressive ! Four of the clearly deranged and/or snide rancorous turds from this 'overwhelming majority' are on record as mutually operating internet stalkers, . . regularly committing numerous on-line criminal offences under a number of specific provisions of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 :- www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1997/40/contents

Ah but you see, we're all as thick as two short planks. An intellectual powerhouse would have had his boat towed away by CRT and turned into fridges and washing machines.
