At one stage it seemed like Bellend was interested in discussing dutch barges or possibly ditch barges. I started a thread about it as it could have been interesting. Nothing doing.
Oh well worse things happen at sea !

So... Did he tell you the age of the alternator belt? (OK, it's a cheap item, but if we were to sell our boat, the alternator belt age/when it was put on, is certainly on our lists). How has your diesel-burning stove got flooded? Why was there no 'proper' cowl for your chimney? (back later - paperwork to wade through today, and if I am signed into TB, work will not get done!) What an absolute bellend you are!๐๐๐ For asking this? "do you think the previous owner left it in good condition for a buyer?" - what's wrong with asking that?

Twat with flooded stove! (ps - noted the previous owner sold it with an alternator that was knackered!) No that was just a connection problem. The stove probably works in non built up areas. The boat also has an ever splasher type unit so if it is windy one can opt to use that instead of the bubble if there are flue problems.

If I misread your post, I apologise of course, but it appeared to be a gloat at someone else's misfortune and choice of boat too. I always believe when someone's having problems is the LAST time for such humour, but we're all different. I don't even know what kind of boat Donkey has, Are you Naughty Call in disguise?

Oh yes that's true but thats just a service part. Actually as I understand it the knackered bearings had caused considerable damage to the bearing housing. Not something that the previous marina dwelling owner would have known about.
Lunch over, back to work.

What an absolute bellend you are!๐๐๐ For asking this? "do you think the previous owner left it in good condition for a buyer?" - what's wrong with asking that? How long do you expect the seller should guarantee every single item on the boat? Do you think the seller could see into the future and predict the fanbelt /alternator were going to go knackered some months Later so better stitch it into someone quick? Make no mistake....You are a smug twat that takes delight in others misfortune !
