Merge as soon as you see the signs, or wait till the end and merge in turn?

Well they are both at fault.
If cars start merging too early then they are not making maximum use of the available road space.
He should have just let her in as much as it appears to have hurt his pride to do so.
As an aside we are in Scotland at the moment and I have noticed there is a distinct lack of courtesy between drivers up here. I haven't been let out of one busy junction the whole time I've been here, make the slightest error and they are on their horn button like fiends.
Ive found drivers in Italy and France much more courteous.

Pair of twats.
Having a dashcam doesn't excuse you from defensive driving.
Sometimes allowances have to be made for the failings of others, behaving like a bell end yourself then putting it on YouTube is not the best way to achieve that aim.
Think of all the people inconvenienced behind them so they could have their little stress over nothing.

All the signs telling people to allow overtaking and not doing so cause road rage are great. Every time I have caught up with someone in the highland and islands they have let me go. When it's safe they give a quick indication to the left. It's great. On the single lanes they will always let you go at a passing place. I have found Scottish drivers to be very considerate.

What signs saying allow overtaking? ive seen signs saying "Please indicate your intentions' on the approach to roundabouts, why do they need those I wonder?

But everyone knows that the roads belong to BMW & Audi drivers who are allowed to cut in whenever they like.

And whilst that is obviously one of the oldest and lamest jokes going it nicely shows what was going through Mr, Dashcam's mind as he tried to prevent her getting in. And anyway she wasn't a stereotypical Audi driver because she was using her indicators.......

I wonder how much sooner Mr Dashcam would have arrived at his destination if he had let Mrs Lost-It in...

In Singapore every time 2 lanes merge there are arrows painted on the road just before the narrowing, making it quite clear that you should merge at that one point, nowhere else. Like everything else in Singapore it works perfectly. No pushing, no horns, just courteous and efficient driving.

Up in the northern parts. They are everywhere I guess you mean further north than Inverness, where we drove to yesterday. When I was there last they were defiantly on the road along loch Ness. And on the a82. Maybe it's been longer than I thought since I've been. ETA they are more often on the single track roads bit we have seen them on A roads too.

I wonder how much sooner Mr Dashcam would have arrived at his destination if he had let Mrs Lost-It in... 78 odd minutes plus plod time going by the nonsense subtitle commentary and video length! Fecking idiot was in a liveried van as well, must have an understanding employer, he'd have been down the road for a stunt like that in a company vehicle at our place.
