I agree that he should have been acquitted. Neither gallows humour nor bad taste should be Police matters. Don't they have any stabbings or acid attacks to investigate in London?

First time I've watched it - surprised it's still readily available on YouTube. What to me is the worst aspect of this is that (allegedly) many of the occupants had sub-rented from the registered residents, well knowing that this is illegal. Did the council know about this? If so, why did they do nothing? "The prosecution had argued that the content of the footage, which saw cardboard figures burning as the model went up in flames, was racist in showing black and brown characters who were meant to be victims of the Grenfell Tower blaze which killed 72. Mr Bussetti and his friend Clifford Smith, who hosted the party, rejected this suggestion, insisting the figures were of the two men and their friends and that the whole incident poked fun at themselves. A figure dressed in black and referred to in a comment on the footage as 'little ninja' was a joke about Mr Smith's son who did martial arts as a child, both he and Mr Bussetti said, rejecting a prosecution argument that the figure was a Muslim woman wearing a niqab and was intended to mock Islamic dress." "Paul Bussetti, 47, makes a throat-slitting gesture after being cleared of sharing footage of his friends burning a cardboard effigy of Grenfell Tower." Why would he do this?

Here's another unsavoury character, lest we forget: Private visit to Auschwitz? On a private jet?

I note all the residents are complaining that there were no alarms of sprinklers. Well, from the story it seems the fire was outside on a balcony. What use would a sprinkler be. And actually telling the fireman what to do because they saw grenfell. Ffs. Worse than our own pontificating experts. Glad they got it out.

Would fire alarms or sprinklers have helped both to alert other flat residents so they could take action in case the fire spread or to contain the fire if it did start spreading - why do you (well the in-laws) have smoke detectors and fire extinguishers on the boat...
What exactly were they telling the firefighters to do? If they were telling them how to put out a fire then they are muppets, if they were telling them how to access parts of the building or where isolation cocks/water risers were then they were trying to be helpful...
Not all press reports/social media posts represent the truthful details...

But when could a fire on a balcony ever set of a communal fire alarm? If it had spread then I presume the alarms and sprinklers would of kicked in but it did not spread did it?

You seem to presume there is a communal fire alarm and sprinklers.

You seem to presume there is a communal fire alarm and sprinklers. Eye witness inside said alarms and sprinklers were not going off. The only fact we know is the fire was outside. That can not set off automatic alarms/sprinklers. If the system is manual, even if automatic it will still have manual call points. You have to ask the residents if they did not hear an alarm why did know one think to set it off? So yes they are pontificating experts because they are moaning but it was in their hands to do something. If any resident had bothered to learn the fire drill and evacuation plan(that may or may not include stay in your flat until otherwise told)that they all will have access to, not one person followed it. And we wonder why there are mass deaths in tower blocks.

The biggest problem was that all the Fire Escape signs were written in English.

Really, do you know this for certain and even if a manual call point was set off, did a remote monitoring service 'silence alarms' because there was no other 'corroberating' back up info.
Stay put policy is a justified point of contention following Grenfell - I know I wouldn't given similar circumstances.

Oh god, the fecking idiot, yorkie munching, prostitute murdering, communist, Russia lover, bridge basher, moron/spastic/mong accuser, illegal knife holder, fat middle to old age git, Charlton supporter, closet racist, womens moped rider. has spoken!
