I had a Nigerian girlfriend once. One night she said to me: you're a good guy Rich, more nigger than skinless.
Should I feel offended?

The quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. Not friendly. A con-man is friendly but not kind. He's pretending to be freindly.

Do u still wear it to Women's Institute meetings? I never got one, so I couldn't have worn it, but I must ask - what is your personal experience of W.I. meetings, on a scale of 1 to 10? dunno about Foxy but I only ever managed one...and that was a cookery demonstration...tasted the rather nice cakes then decided not for me. oopsy didn't read to end of thread again..I see we've moved on to the subject of kindness v intelligence..well I think we need a balance of both... I'm kind and I'm err reasonably intelligent....

The only reason the canals were built was because of capitalist greed. Nothing more nothing less. Possibly, although it could be argued that they brought improvements to the lot of the masses. When the link between the Coventry coalfields and London was completed, the price of coal in London halved overnight.

The Nigerian slang word for us whiteskins is 'ayebo' meaning skinless one. The only time I heard it was when passing schoolkids who would pat their bellies and call out 'ayebo, ayebo, give me money'.

Already asked for money by a young male 'Asian' in Skipton. Claimed he had come from Keighley by bus but had not the fare to go back. I suggested he follow the canal towpath, or hitch hike. He said why won't I 'help him out' so I said because I'm a miserable git.
His mum came along an hour later and said he lives in Skipton.
