I see the parlimentary group for the waterways has a new chairman. He has pledge his support for the iwa's waterways manifesto. Oh dear doesn't seem to bode well, it might be time we all started having email conversations with him?

Thanks for that Jim. It seems like a case of the tail wagging the dog. We all know what the higher echelons of the iwa think about livaboard boaters, which is why I'm suggesting it might be worth opening a dialogue with the chairman giving him a different point of view. Because if he does exactly what the iwa want then we are all fucked.

Apart from anything else it's very lazy to simply latch onto the IWA, but if he knows nothing, which is likely, he has to start somewhere and probably imagines this stance will satisfy the majority.

Which is why I think we should all make it our jobs to email him pointing out there other views on the waterways to either crt's or the iwa's .

At least les Etheridge has stood down as IWA chair. He was a complete arsehole. Mind you, the new ones not much better. Ivor seems to waffle a load of rubbish as well.
