Left a cosy boat with a raging fire this morning to drive home whilst the new engine is fitted.
Arrived home to find that the super reliable Worcester Bosch boiler is dead.
To add insult our friends at Britsh Gas cannot turn out until 8am - 1pm tomorrow.
My it is chilly. Pity the poor homeless.
Off out for dinner at a friends so I hope he's got the heating on tropical mode.
One bright spark in the day was the arrival of my calendar.
The cover photo gets the blood pumping.

Its not down on pressure is it? because if it is it stops working!! ak me how I know that And the most likely causes for that is a knackered Expansion Vessel, leaking PRV or a slight weep on a radiator tail. Or any combination of the above! Finger's crossed it's not too dear. Just to give Rog some solace, my 3.5 year old Zanussi washing machine is playing silly buggers. Just before Christmas it had a new £50 drain pump, no cheap pattern part available. Now it is not heating the water, heating element is fine, High temperature cut out which is part of the element not fine £50 for an element from Zanussi. I've just tried it using a hot fill from the hot water tank with the stat set @ 40° it played havoc with the digital programme timer - it ripped through a 1 hour 47 minute programme in about 35 minutes and skipped the spin cycle, looks like the Italians are gonna get some more money for their cheap jack Polish built using Chinese parts crap. Annoyingly it wasn't all that cheap when new and got a good Which review

Moral of story buy cheap never repair We've been both the highish and low end of the washing machine spectrum, the last two have both been Which recommend and been a bit shit. Previous was a whirlpool that had 4 drums under guarantee, when the first one went the lad that fixed it said make sure you take out the extended cover when they offer you it, these are keeping me in overtime! after the fourth drum, one drain pump and a heating element the extended guarantee people sent us a polite letter saying they would not consider us for renewal The best machine we had was an ex display Samsung, it had the arse kicked out of it with Motocross kit and overalls/work gear. Crappy indesit and hoover models preceded that - the one that couldn't be saved was an old Servis machine inherited from Dad when we brought the house off him, parts no longer obtainable, which was a shame as it was a well built bit of kit unlike almost all the Italian or far Eastern shit that replaced it. Next one will be a fucking Miele at this rate!

What is your BMI? Are you fat...
Are you lazy? What are you doing lying on the sofa watching TV...
Are you a twunt? Well I suggest you review your choice of TV programmes to watch before you make that decision...
How many spiders in your boat...

All that about me is completely irrelevant,, I've never received benefits, complained about not getting enough 'free wages' or spend a single day out of gainful employment and doubt I ever will be whilst I choose to work! You?

Our washing machine was originally around the 400 quid point. 8kg has a cracking 20° wash.
We got in Currys. Pre PC world I'll add.
Well I say Currys they had or have a cheap site where they sold returns or damaged stuff.
Ours has a big dent on the top. Hidden by the worktop, cost around £100. Well happy. In fact the lovely MIL may of brought it. So doubly happy.

Next one will be a fucking Miele at this rate! Bought mine in 1990, added the tumble drier in 92, dishwasher think the same year - replaced by Miele because an engineer emptied the contents of the softener inside its chassis, all three still running like new daren't think how many years that is.

New baby meant there wasn't enough cash in the pot when the last one died. The mother in law wastes no opportunity to remind me how good her Miele has been - quite a subtle way of saying how shit ours have been! Nothing worse than having to get Mrs Gazza to go over to the MIL with a bulging bag of undercrackers and work clothes when the washing machine has gone Kurput again
