I use my iPad a lot, bought it about 3 years ago, an Air 2 64Gb 4g. In November I dropped it, smashed the screen and had to get a new screen/lcd which cost me ~£160. Bad decision because a couple of months later the battery life started really diminishing. In the end I bought a new one and decided to sell the old one which, apart from the battery life, was in good condition. Duly sent of to Mazuma Mobile with the promise of £190 for it. They got it today but have found 3 faults with the (3 month old) screen. One of the faults is “white marks in display, mostly noticeable on a white background. New LCD required”. Apart from anything else this seems illogical as white marks aren’t going to show up on a white background! I can honestly say that I have never noticed any faults with the new screen.
Anyway, they revised their £190 down to £60. So they can poke off with that and I’ve asked them to return the iPad. Let’s just hope they actually send it back, and in the same condition. I see that the likes of 02 and EE buy old phones and tablets, so perhaps they are more reputable. Anyway, my ranting aside, anyone else been stung by Mazuma, Envirofone etc?

Never used any companies like that, always sold my tech castoffs via Ebay or local Facebook selling pages.

Try Cex. They will test it within an hour and give you a price.

A piece of crap that's only worth 60 quid, but some are daft enough to pay 4-500 for.

Thanks for suggestions of other places to try. First hurdle is to get it back in the same condition I sent it!

Bit of a hijack... Anyone know the value of a 15 year old Iridium Satellite phone/brick? Museum piece or scrap?
