Foxy has never paused to consider the impact of some of his words before he hits post.. there seems no empathy for the plight of others. I think you can say the Lebanese government had no empathy for their citizens, by doing nothing about high explosives they kept in those warehouses at the docks in Beirut for SEVEN YEARS. They may have paused to consider the impact, briefly - and to hurriedly pass the blame onto witless scapegoats.

Thing is Ross, it was probably the responsibility of some poor overworked and underpaid clerk to arrange storage of fertiliser that had been confiscated, and probably didn't have a scoobies about the dangers of bad storage ...... I mean fertiliser is just dung innit? ...... probably never had heard of ANFO.

I'm surprised the Russians didn't make a fuss to get it back. I haven't followed the story. Terrible waste all round, of course. Anyways, as we all know, jokes are jokes, and taste varies, and their are often those who fake 'outrage' when someone they have taken a dislike to makes a joke.
How do you make a cat go "Woof!" ??
Soak it in petrol and throw it on the fire!
Yet, I like cats. Our Vallu was 18 years old when he died 2 years ago, and Tim (who came from Welwyn Garden City in 1986, and flew to Helsinki from Heathrow in 1990) died at the age of 19 and a half.
Any jokes in really poor taste you just sweep to one side and try to forget about them, one doesn't need to make a virtue-signalling song and dance about them.

I have kept it without an edit, otherwise only confusion would reign. Who knows what goes on in the human mind, eh? I see that Arthur Marshall has an i instead of an I (lower case instead of upper) but I do understand that computer keyboards sometimes fail to recognise the touch on the Shift button; ie it doesn't mean that Arthur is illiterate or ignorant, just that he failed to spot the 'error'. As I did with mine (although my error was in my head and not from the keyboard).

I'm probably more UK-British than you, looking at your surname, to be sure.

I'm definitely a mongrel breed, Swiss, N & S Ireland, a bit of welsh and yorkshire but we keep very quiet about that. Perhaps that's why I have sympathy for fellow refugees, but not migrants who just move to steal a country's women and infest their gene pool then whinge, whine, witter, grumble, and moan about every other migrant. I'm genetically approved to do the William Tell Crossbow act next time we meet, all you have to do is stand verrry still and balance an apple on yer 'ead.

Phew! I almost thought you were referring to me again. But I married a Finn who lived in England for 8 years, before we moved to Finland. I moved mainly because she wanted to return to Finland. Also had a job lined up - unlike this lot: A criminal way of reaching the UK. And they know it. 14 days quarantine?

No need, I already spend many hours volunteering for a charity, including working with children of asylum seekers. 😋
