Lollygagger - for an 'unmoderated' forum, it's disturbing to see all your blue stars and 'Global Moderator' badge. Can't you hide that? Yes, we know your rรดle and appreciate it. Just sayin'. I keep imagining the rozzers turning up in an old Granada. Shut it you're nicked !

One problem with this, is that some of the scientists(who are not in charge by the way) and politicians, are breaking the rules. Oh, and just to add yet again, these women didnโt break the rules. You come over as rather thick at times Pete.

The two ladies were not pushing the boundaries and were following the simple guidelines. Iโm not sure why you find that difficult to grasp. There are however loads of other examples of stupid people doing stupid, selfish and reckless things and I wish the full force of the law onto them. But you detract from that by roping in a couple of people going for a walk in the country who were acting within the letter and spirit of the law, and your passion thus loses credibility.

Politicians made the mistake of thinking people were clever enough to keep to the guidelines clearly they were mistaken

Jayne an I know the area where they live plenty of walks within "the village, town or city" no need to drive out in one case to another county for a walk The county boundary thing is a red herring that you seem obsessed with. Is the virus aware of county boundaries? I donโt think so. If the government wants to put into law that you canโt cross a county boundary even when you live close to it, and/or you canโt drive a short distance to take exercise, then so be it and those police would have been in the right. But the government didnโt do that and so the police were wrong.
