I've seen addiction of various sorts, lucky not to have those genes myself. I've offered respite for someone to dry out a few times, he has now died as a result of drink affecting his body. But I've also seen it is possible to stop. You are constructing others ideas and motives again. Stop it! Why would someone with such experience ask another: 'Where's your willpower?' Because the individual with the habit has to decide to stop, take action, seek help, book into the drying out clinic, whatever. It may take hitting rock bottom to trigger that though. Vaping hardly falls into that category though does it? That is advertised as a method for giving up nicotine. How hard can it be? Don't be so blinkered in your thinking.
