The Witch used a Microsoft programme to zoom into the photo and I have to say it does look like 'Sabina H' in the right place, and three of the five windows have been covered with pages from The Daily Mail? Anyway, has John v been to the Lowther Hotel? Report would be of interest. We liked Goole. I think the helpful and friendly lot at the marina aided in our impression, well done to them, and I liked their mechanic who changed our fuel filter in a no-nonsense way. It's funny the places you can find in England which are still 'all right'. I stayed overnight at the Lowther Hotel...what do u wanna know.... I had an evening meal, several(hic, hic) glasses vino, propped the bar up, put the world to rights with staff, slept well..nice bedroom...and breakfast next am... breakfast lovely(included in my band b rate).. They have a gin bar and a vodka bar with shelves full of vodkas Ive never heard of.... Id stay there again..the only iffy bit is where u leave your cars

Being moored so near the narrow boats just shows how bulky Sabina H's hull is !!

Sabina has 5 windows in a row on the front side of the tower. It is hard to tell. Get that man a better camera! Here's Sabina: photos.app.goo.gl/btXvvXAGCprAtVtF2 Blinking heck I've only got a box brownie. The boat on the far left with the wind Genny looks intresting. They seem to have maximised the accomodation space in a fairly unusual way. Raised foredeck with accomodation under it and a large stern cabin with steps up the sides. Its an interesting design.

Thanks for the pics Cygnus. I've been thinking of having my foredeck raised to provide more acconodation space under it so I always like pictures of boats with that sort of design.

Vulcan. Yep, white top to wheelhouse. I believe (Tony Dunkley would know for sure) that painting the top of the wheelhouse /wheelbox was standard for working barges for visibility but not many people do it any more.
