Page Not Found. Have they withdrawn it as it is a 'story'? I don't believe electric cars are running in Norway as much as you reckon, Peter. The proof is to stand by any road and see what's going past. I have driven in Norway (all over apart from Stavanger area) and have not seen one single electric charging point. Seeing is believing. Did you notice this Ross ? The text has changed a bit already, now it's not "over half the car sold there are electric" but : Over half of new car sales in Norway are electric or hybrid ...so possibly only one- or two dummies with electric, and the rest hybrids www.pri.org/stories/2018-01-03/over-half-new-car<... The link doesn't work for me either.
Peter.

Yes, I saw that. My son bought a Toyota Prius last year which is a hybrid thingy, and let me tell you he burnt a few litres of PETROL getting us to the airport in June and back in August! That's the thing, as soon as you're over a speed of 30km/h ? the petrol engine has to do the work, and will use more than an ordinary petrol car, as it has to move the heavy weight of the battery pack too. What a smart idea . Peter.

Comon you dinosaurs just google it :] you can get the split they have loads of charging points, lots of electric so its no hassle. In one years time jaguar and Volvo will be all electric or petrol Hybrids, its changing and very fast.

Yet one of my customers bought the lexus version to replace his shagged A6 TDI [blown engine very common] and his average is 49 to the gallon better than the Audi by far........................

That's not too bad, I will have a Lexus too, I'm only waiting for the special offer at Aldi's that you get one for free if you buy a six-pack of Soja milk. Btw my old diesel car does 56.75 to the gallon, which sounds better than this Lexus, and as a bonus, I don't need to search for charging stations Peter.

Here's an idea, just use your cars less. If everybody cut down their usage, the amount of pollution would drop dramatically.

Oh yes silly me I'm forgetting that won't earn the motor industry millions. Any solution to the pollution situation has to earn somebody millions.

A lot of his miles are in towns and when you are paying 10 squids a day to go to town cos your dangerous diesel is killing people it wont be so cheap then will it? and that 10 squids will only be start!

Here's an idea, just use your cars less. If everybody cut down their usage, the amount of pollution would drop dramatically. here's a better idea - if there was international and inter-denominational agreement on reducing the world's population to a sustainable figure (no more than 2 billion) then nearly all of the global problems would evaporate. I know why countries, religions and multinational corporations believe population growth is a good thing, but any rational person knows that it is the root of nearly all the evils and disasters of this small planet, and to allow and/or encourage it is simply immoral. In an ideal world we could all benefit from the luxuries made possible by modern technology, but not at present population levels. ........... think - space for endangered species to thrive, adequate water supply for the naturally small population of semi-arid countries, enough fuel for us all to drive efficient vehicles without excessive pollution and without the risk of running out of resources, limit to the urban spread that increasingly denies the growing number of city dwellers the opportunity to enjoy the countryside, reducing the plastic waste that will eventually kill off much sea life, ....................... etc. It is a sad reflection on the human species that we cannot manage the really big issues constructively, but instead pat ourselves on the back when we find technological answers to enable population growth, much of which just produces misery for a large proportion of the world's people.

I hate Audi as much as the next man but the one in your picture is not an expensive car. I suppose it might be a "bitcoin car" in that it has those grey bumpers which is possibly indicative of some future value inflation as long as it isn't too rusty and you can convince a few fashionista hipster types that its worth 20 grand.
If it was an R8 Dickhead Car then I would agree with you but it isn't.
I hate greed. It so unnecessary and causes so much shit to happen.

They will make me pay a total of zero squids a day, as I use my bicycle in town, that way I don't have to pay for pa rking either. It is possible that these very fast accelerating electric cars will kill more people in accidents, tha people that get killied by the diesel. If you break down with your empty battery, which could never happen of course, as there are charging points everywhere, but it may be because they were all occupied with the hunderds, I mean thousends of electric cars queuing up to charge, and you thought that you still had enough, not knowing about the traffic jams that night with your lights, heating and wipers on, I can always come out with my, ever so reliable, diesel car to tow you to a hopefully unoccupied charging point. Peter.

And on Saturday I went past 10 charging points at Meadowhell and they have put in even more because the demand is there [cars were there charging] As time goes on and wind turbines sprout up everywhere like weeds, we will have that much lecce they will just close down the refineries, as nobody will want that dirty smelly stuff anymore

Peter. happy to be a dinosaur

For starters we'll have all of Sheffield - Doncaster - Rotherham conurbation as electric cars only, and the rest of the country can stand back and gasp in awe. But is the lithium to be mined by electric machines? And, let's face it, you still haven't got the Snake Pass road open yet. 10 charging points = 10 cars (for how many hours per time?). I saw more than 10 cars last time I was in Sheffield "It is regularly closed in winter because of snow" - blimey, if you can't get rid of some snow on a stretch of tarmac.... yet all cars of the nation to switch to electricity? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snake_PassYou need to read what I put 10 points in one area more put in because of demand plus local Tesco has them, they are all over the place, but because you are that busy trying to find reasons why it cant happen you dont see them. One day you will go to fill up with petrol, and discover they dont sell it any more then you might click on the future is here.
