I see a few, I need one that can print out to my printer, seems nothing is simple.

If the printer connects by USB I suspect any with USB connectivity will work.
Mine is wifi. It was a Christmas's present and we won't go back to wired connection it so easy to print from anything.
The other half has a laptop from work. Its tiny but as it uses her work pc as a server so it doesn't need much. The screen folds over backwards and becomes a tablet quite a good idea.

I went to the quack and told her that my phone was causing me eye problems.
She wrote me a scrip and I got a tablet for it.

I went to the quack and told her that my phone was causing me eye problems. She wrote me a scrip and I got a tablet for it. 6/10 for effort. Just got myself a new phone, Google Pixel 5 5g, with a bit of arguing and cheek got a good price, both data and the phones have come down on the monthly cost since last time I got one on contract. It came with a tinfoil hat to protect me from the 5g, with a small tinfoil patch to cover the area where I get the vaccine, to disable bill gates chip. Cascaded my Pixel 3xl to Noreen, the oldest phone that she was using had stopped the security updates, hence the change. Wireless charging is great, I got a twin device charging pad, no more loose wires on the kitchen worktop.

Ok, well very frustrating day yesterday, even the order I put through Currys (yes I know) failed at the paypoint, and by the time I could be bothered to deal with that, I'd no idea which laptop I'd decided on, went online to talk to yet another employee, they call them 'experts', a guy with a five day beard, scary, not cool, he was less of an expert than me, so I went back to website, by that time a few more laptops had appeared (they call them 'offers'), by this time I'd had enough of this company, and decided to go to bed. I saw a few HP laptops, but am I right in thinking they are not compatible with Chrome or Google, both of which I find intuitive. I quite like the touch screen idea, for one finger typing, but prefer the mouse for cut and paste etc. My budget for a phome is around £70, I don't need or want anything complex. PS I know I could have all singing and dancing set up, but I have not used my printer for a year, and there is nothing wrong with it. I prefer to have some redundancy, so two lower tier computer things rather than one , usually one s on the way out, and the new one is faster. Would I be right in thinking that 4GB of RAM is much better than 2 ie, things happen faster?

I feel you may be overthinking the laptop thing. If its just for web/email and printing of things then you don't need anything flash, I purchased one from ebay about five years ago, think from memory it was Argos refurb shop and was a Toshiba satellite pro for under £150, worked well for five years but noted the last year was slowing down on start up, but did a job well, 15" with full keyboard, go for 8gb 16gb if you can, hard drive is not to be worried about as you can just stick an external drive in easily and cheap enough, processer is the important bit, just look at speed and try to get a decent speed on, measure in GHz. Black and blue, hmmmm us that a clue? It was the simplicity of the machine. Was a little childish, so ill apologise. Not offended Re laptop, I play bridge online, and watch the racing, so a good screen is important, I usually kill computers off after about 4 years as by that time the new software is gas guzzling, also random mishaps. The little tablet from Huawei is fine for both of above, but I keep my spreadsheets on a computer, avoid clouds and stuff. PS just got an invoice with a. docx, not sure if I need something to look at it. Update on. Docx it opens with an app, first time I've found something useful. Another update, Three are sending me a new sim card, so when that arrives, I'll try it in the current phone, it will either work properly, or it won't, tx all Jo
